Burger King Breakfast Hours (2026): When Does Breakfast Start and End?
When breakfast starts at your store, what changes on Sunday, and how to check before you drive.
Burger King serves breakfast from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM, local time, seven days a week. That is the breakfast window set in Burger King’s own US ordering system, and it does not change on weekends. The system has no Saturday or Sunday extension to 11:00 AM. At 10:30 the menu switches to lunch, and breakfast isn’t served again until the next morning.
Does Breakfast Start at 6 AM at Every Burger King?
No. Breakfast starts at 6:00 AM or when your store opens, whichever is later. Burger King’s own store data shows how weekday opening times split across its US drive-thrus:

An early opening does not mean an early breakfast. At 24-hour and pre-6 AM stores, the ordering system keeps the regular menu running until 6:00. A 5 AM order gets you a Whopper, not a Croissan’wich.
Sunday is the exception to watch. About 46% of Burger King drive-thrus open at 7:00 AM or later on Sunday, and the 10:30 cutoff stays put. For almost half of stores, that leaves three and a half hours or less. If you’re planning an early Sunday stop, check your store’s Sunday hours first, because 6 AM is a weekday assumption.
How Do You Check Your Burger King’s Breakfast Hours?
Use your store’s menu in the BK app or at bk.com, not the store locator. Burger King’s store pages list only dine-in and drive-thru hours, and its FAQ sends hours questions to those same pages, so neither tells you when breakfast ends.
The app menu fills that gap. The Breakfast category appears only during the breakfast window and drops out once breakfast ends. Before you leave:
- Select your store in the BK app or at bk.com/menu.
- Look for the Breakfast category. If the store is open, it’s before 10:30, and the category is missing, you can’t order breakfast from that store in the app right now. Call before you drive.
- Check the store’s drive-thru hours for the day you’re going.
- Want a burger before 10:30? Look for a Burgers for Breakfast category. Burger King’s system runs that menu from 6:00 to 10:30, and whether it appears depends on the store. If yours doesn’t show it, plan on burgers from 10:30.
- Call the store if you’ll arrive close to 10:30. The phone number is on its store page, and only the store can tell you how it handles an order placed right at the switch.

When Should You Get to Burger King for Breakfast?
Go between your store’s opening time and 10:30 AM, after confirming the Breakfast category is showing in the app. If it’s already past 10:30 at your store, the Burger King lunch menu is what’s on offer, and it lists every burger and combo with prices.
Once you know you’ll make it, the Burger King breakfast menu lists every item with its price and calories, so you can decide what to order before you reach the window.
